We've done it again! Here is the latest smallest lightest QUALITY mini recorder on the market today.
We see hundreds of this type of product all the time and most we wouldnt look at twice and even more we bin after testing. Those that have bought from us before know that we are about quality and reliability and not focussed purely on profit which is why if you want cheap products that look good but are really rubbish, then go to some of our competitors or buy on ebay.
When we started the business 5 years ago we kept to top end products with high price tags. However, we soon understood that not everyone wants video production equipment and therefore we have over the years tried to offer a full range of products to suit all budgets and requirements.
In the recorder market we have been supplying the obvsdv500 with excellent results, however, to find this product at £75 cheaper than the obvsdv500 is amazing.
The Mini DVR1 is the smallest digital recorder with a built-in screen on the market today, even smaller than the brilliant DV500. We weren't expecting much from the mini DVR1 because of it's price tag but after playing with it for a while and more importantly viewing it's video quality then we are more than happy to put our prestigious name to it

OK, you're not going to be making production quality video with this DVR but we challenge you to find better in this price range.
The Mini DVR 1 has a really high quality 1.5" TFT screen built-in for previewing the image from any camera or for videoplayback. It uses Mini SD cards up to 4gb in size which will hold just under 4 hours of high quality digital video.
You can connect this recorder to your computer using the supplied USB cable and watch your videos on your PC or Mac, or use the supplied av cables for instant playback on your tv.
The menu system is a joy to use. So simple...it puts Archos recorders to shame. Recording is started by the touch of a button and you can choose to enable time/date stamping.
The changeable battery will power the recorder for over 2 hours and is as easy to change as most mobile phones. The Mini DVR1 records in mpeg4 format at 640 x 480 resolution. This looks great on a PC screen but if you play back the video on a very large screen then you may notice the limitations of this device. We find that most customers are more than happy with this kind of video quality and it's perfect for things like video analysis of your track day or ride out.
Editing Mpeg4 video of any type very much depends on the software you are using and the video codecs installed on your computer. You can save yourself a whole lot of hassle by converting the mpeg4 files before you try to edit them.
We see this device as a great solution for in car or on bike recording. Perfect for insurance purposes too! Never again take the blame for an accident when it wasnt your fault!
Beware of devices of a similar price which only support 320 x 240 resolution. These days, you should not settle for anything less than 640 x 480.
Don't get caught out, check the spec and buy from a reputable supplier!
