Cameras suitable for Taxis
Typical InstallationThe typical Taxi installation is to have 4 cameras fitted. One looking out the front and one looking to the rear to guard against 'accidents', then two cameras inside the car to video any incidents that might happen inside the car. In addition it is a good idea to ensure that there are notices put up inside the car detailing that CCTV cameras are installed for the safety/security of the driver and passengers. Plus, signage on the car body to ensure that people are fully aware the car has cameras before they get into it. This should also prove to be a deterent from anyone intending on doing a runner or causing trouble once inside the car. A main consideration when buying a camera set-up for the taxi is whether it will be needed to see in the dark or whether the lights are always on inside the taxi.
